Emilie is a French restaurant located in South Jakarta, nestled between the Sudirman Central Business District and the prime residential area of Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Housed in a stand-alone two storey building designed by Indonesia’s foremost designer, Jaya Ibrahim.

Combining elegant interior, intimate ambiance and impeccable service, the restaurant provides a tranquil city refuge for a refined dining experience. Emilie offers an artful blend of modern yet classically inspired French cuisine with emphasis on flavour and simplicity.

Emilie opens daily from 11.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. Reservations can be made directly to 521-3626.

CHEF DE CUISINE - IVAN DUCHÊNE

A native of Andernos-les-Bains, near Bordeaux, France, Ivan Duchêne has trained under great chefs in world’s acclaimed kitchens in including 4 years with the Groupe Alain Ducasse in London and Paris.

He started his career in 1996 at the Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc in Antibes under Arnoud Poette. Three years later, he travelled to Luxemburg, where he apprenticed with Léa Linster, the first and only woman chef ever to win the coveted Bocuse d'Or cooking competition.

Back to France in 2001, he assumed the duties and responsibilities of Chef de Partie at Hôtel le Saint-James in Bordeaux working under Jean-Marie Amat, then to Alain Ducasse Spoon in both Paris with Christophe Moret and London with Pascal Feraud. In 2008, Ivan worked on the opening of Alain Ducasse at the Dochester under Jocelyn Herland, a two Michelin stars holder.

LE BAR

The setting yearned for elegant privacy, a balance between dress-up and relaxed. Le Bar features beautiful mahogany panelling, plush sofas and windows that filter in soft natural light.

CHEF’S TABLE

Stylish, elegant and intimate, the Chef's Table with its own lounge area is nestled in Studio Emilie overlooking the cooking facilities.

The Chef's Table is the ultimate experience for guests wishing to be a part of the kitchen theatre. Suitable for up to 8 guests, the table offers an unobstructed view of the kitchen and interaction with the chef during the meal.

PRIVATE ROOM

Next to the Studio is a private room which can accommodate up to 35 guests in one elegant long table. Its understated interior exudes simplicity and has hosted some of the most exclusive private functions in town.

STUDIO

Located on the 2nd floor is the Studio Emilie, a modern state-of-the-art cooking facility featuring sophistication in technology with the warm and inviting comforts of home. The Studio is specially designed to cater to the discerning gourmets, food hobbyists and amateur cooks alike to hone their culinary skills, wine and lifestyle appreciation.

CULINARY PROGRAM

A medley of class styles and formats including weekly hands-on cooking class, cooking demonstrations and tailor made classes. Conducted by Chef de Cuisine, Ivan Duchêne, the culinary program suit anyone regardless of their cooking skills from beginner to advance level.

WINE APPRECIATION CLASS

Emilie teams up with Simone Baldwin offering various wine appreciation courses. Simone is an inspiring instructor with vast knowledge and firsthand experience in the wine industry. Her classes, catering from beginners to advanced level students are conducted in a relaxed, fun and interactive setting.
